While Solana and Google have maintained a long-standing relationship, with Google presenting at major industry events like Breakpoint in Amsterdam, no practical on-the-ground partnership had been established for SuperteamUK builders. Foundation Ventures recognized this gap as a strategic opportunity, leveraging their existing relationships with Google stakeholders developed through co-hosting multiple events in Google offices and receiving invitations to numerous Google ecosystem events.
When Google hosted the launch of their startup hub in Shoreditch, Foundation Ventures identified this as the perfect moment to propose a collaborative event between SuperteamUK and Google. This initiative successfully materialized into a comprehensive event where Google presented the advantages of using Google Cloud infrastructure for blockchain projects, while SuperteamUK brought together top Web3 legal experts and advisors to address regulatory challenges facing UK builders.
The event also featured Serotonin discussing talent acquisition strategies in the competitive Web3 space, and concluded with Michael delivering insights on the top three business development strategies essential for Web3 startups. This collaborative approach established the first practical working relationship between Google's enterprise infrastructure and the UK Solana developer community, moving beyond high-level industry presentations to provide actionable technical and business support for builders.

We played a leading role in building the ICP community in the UK, driving university collaborations, developer onboarding, and project incubation through a structured program of events and hackathons. Partnerships with more than four universities created direct access to talent pipelines, while mentoring and advisory support helped founders refine their projects across marketing, finance, legal, technical, and business development. A highlight was the Speedrun Hackathon, which surfaced 35 projects and prepared the ground for the World Computer Hacker League (WCHL). Through events like the Barclays Demo Day, university tours, and the WCHL, ICP Hub UK became a catalyst for growth, onboarding over 350 developers and incubating 50+ projects within its first six months.
